And seeing it happen to other people too. I'm not looking forward to life after school, because I was always a fan of the work-hard-reap-the-rewards school of thought, but that seems to sort of randomly work at the best of times. I hope you get the job though. My approach (which by no means is the way to go :P ) would be to prepare for the most part, and then look to the next thing. I find I don't overdo the present if I've got something to look ahead to.
